Job summary

Art of Problem Solving is seeking an engaging online instructor to teach enthusiastic elementary through middle school students in our Virtual Campus classrooms. This part-time, after-school and weekend role uses our curriculum to foster participation and critical thinking in a live virtual setting.

Requirements include a solid English and language arts background, a bachelor’s degree in humanities (master’s preferred), experience with Zoom, and classroom experience with K-12 students.

Qualifications

• Solid English and language arts background.
• Bachelor's degree in humanities; master's preferred.
• Experience teaching or tutoring K-12; classroom experience preferred.
• Experience with Zoom or similar video conferencing; virtual classroom management.
• All duties performed in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Teach enthusiastic elementary and middle school students in online classrooms.
• Use curriculum to teach participation-oriented classes focused on instruction and developing skills, not rote memorization.
• Work in small classes (average size ~12) with top students who are motivated to learn.
