Job summary

AoPS Academy is seeking Math Instructors for its Virtual Campus to teach elementary through high school students in online classrooms. Classes follow a participation-oriented curriculum with an emphasis on problem solving rather than rote memorization. Instructors will work with small classes (avg.

12) and leverage the AoPS curriculum. Prior K-12 teaching experience and solid math background are required; a STEM bachelor's is mandatory and a master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Solid mathematical background.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field required; Master's preferred.
• Experience using Zoom or similar video conferencing software and managing a virtual classroom.
• Experience teaching or tutoring K-12; working with advanced students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach enthusiastic elementary, middle, and high school students in online classrooms.
• Use AoPS curriculum to teach participation-oriented classes focused on developing skills.
• Work in small classes (average size 12) with motivated students.
