Job summary

AoPS Academy is seeking part-time instructors for the Virtual Campus to teach enthusiastic elementary through high school students in online classrooms, with classes typically scheduled late afternoons to evenings.

Applicants should hold a STEM degree, possess strong math knowledge, and be comfortable leading student-led discussions in a live virtual environment. The role pays $30/hour and requires work authorization in the United States.

Qualifications

• Solid mathematical background with strong content knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience using Zoom or similar video conferencing and managing a virtual classroom.
• Experience teaching or tutoring K-12 students; advanced students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach enthusiastic elementary, middle, and high school students in our online classrooms.
• Use our curriculum to teach participation-oriented classes that focus on instruction and developing skills, not on rote memorization.
• Work in small classes (average size 12) with top performing students who are passionate about learning and are motivated to succeed.
