Job summary

Tutor Me Education is seeking experienced academic tutors to provide 1:1 and small group virtual instruction to students nationwide. You’ll work remotely, set your own schedule and hourly rate, and support learners including those with IEPs and 504 plans.

Deliver engaging lessons, adapt in real time, track progress, and communicate with families and school partners as needed. Strong virtual teaching skills and reliable tech are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Education, Psychology, or related field preferred.
• Experience with students who have learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or other special education needs.
• Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and common accommodations.
• Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations.
• Strong virtual instruction skills; comfortable with video conferencing and online tools.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace.

• Deliver engaging, individualized virtual instruction tailored to each student\'s goals, accommodations, and learning profile
• Create structured lesson plans that align with student goals, grade-level standards, and the specific accommodations or modifications each student requires
• Adapt instruction in real time based on student questions, progress, and engagement
• Track student progress and communicate effectively with families and, where applicable, school district partners

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree required (degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred)
• Experience working with students who have learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or other special education needs — whether as a credentialed SPED teacher, paraprofessional, interventionist, or tutor
• Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and common accommodations (extended time, chunked instruction, multi-sensory approaches, etc.)
• Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations
• Strong virtual instruction skills — comfort with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and keeping students engaged online
• Ability to pass a background check
• Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace

Preferred (not required):

• Active or previous teaching credential, especially in Special Education
• Experience with specific methodologies such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading, or structured literacy
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
