Tutor Me Education is seeking experienced special education tutors to provide 1:1 and small group virtual instruction across the United States. Tutors will deliver engaging lessons tailored to each student’s IEP goals while enjoying the flexibility of setting their schedule and hourly rates. Candidates should have a relevant Bachelor's degree, experience working with diverse learning needs, and strong virtual teaching skills. Enjoy a fully remote position with ample student opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong virtual instruction skills and ability to engage students online.

What You'll Do

• Deliver engaging, individualized virtual instruction tailored to each student's IEP goals, accommodations, and learning profile
• Create structured lesson plans that align with student goals, grade-level standards, and the specific accommodations or modifications each student requires
• Adapt instruction in real time based on student questions, progress, and engagement
• Track student progress and communicate effectively with families and, where applicable, school district partners

Note: Many of our assignments operate in Pacific Time, so availability during PT hours is a plus.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred)
• Experience working with students who have learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or other special education needs — whether as a credentialed SPED teacher, paraprofessional, interventionist, or tutor
• Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and common accommodations (extended time, chunked instruction, multi-sensory approaches, etc.)
• Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations
• Strong virtual instruction skills — comfort with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and keeping students engaged online
• Ability to pass a background check
• Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace

Preferred (not Required)

• Active or previous teaching credential, especially in Special Education
• Experience with specific methodologies such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading, or structured literacy
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
