Job summary

Tutor Me Education is seeking experienced academic tutors to provide 1:1 and small group virtual instruction to students nationwide, including those with IEPs and 504 plans. If you value flexible scheduling and the freedom to build a life around your commitments, we’d love to hear from you.

You will create structured, standards-aligned lessons, tailor approaches to each student’s needs, track progress, and communicate with families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (Education, Psychology, or related field preferred).
• Experience with students who have learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, or other special education needs.
• Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and common accommodations.
• Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to goals and accommodations.
• Strong virtual instruction skills with video conferencing and online engagement.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace.

• Track student progress and communicate effectively with families and, where applicable, school district partners

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred)
• Experience working with students who have learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or other special education needs — whether as a credentialed SPED teacher, paraprofessional, interventionist, or tutor
• Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and common accommodations (extended time, chunked instruction, multi-sensory approaches, etc.)
• Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations
• Strong virtual instruction skills — comfort with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and keeping students engaged online
• Ability to pass a background check
• Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace

Preferred (not required):

• Active or previous teaching credential, especially in Special Education
• Experience with specific methodologies such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading, or structured literacy
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
