ACCEL Schools LLC seeks an Intervention Specialist for Gateway Online Academy of Ohio. This online high-school role requires supporting students with IEPs, conducting assessments, and collaborating with teachers to ensure rigorous, nurturing instruction.

Travel for testing and events will be required several times per year. Ideal candidates hold an Ohio Intervention Specialist License and have experience with standards alignment, co-teaching or inclusion, and strong communication skills.

Qualificações

• Current Ohio Intervention Specialist License.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in Resource Room models.
• Comfort in growth-focused coaching with frequent observation and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Work with classroom teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities and modify curricula as needed.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Meet goals related to student achievement and culture and state goals.
• Use research-based practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching in daily lessons.
• Serve as advisor for a group of students.
• Communicate with families about student growth.
• Plan and participate in non-instructional activities such as events and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
