ACCEL Schools LLC in Columbus, Ohio seeks an Intervention Specialist at North Columbus Preparatory Academy to support students with IEP goals in a K-8 setting. You will collaborate with classroom teachers, conduct diagnostic and functional assessments, write IEP goals, and help implement behavior plans while maintaining strong family communication.

A current state teaching license is required; you will work in an inclusive, growth-focused environment with competitive compensation and benefits

Qualifications

• Current state license is required and active.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full inclusion or co-teaching in a resource room model.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Multicultural work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to interpret student abilities and plan interventions.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals.
• Meet goals related to student achievement and culture.
• Use research-based practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching in lessons.
• Advise a designated group of students and communicate with families.
• Assist in planning non-instructional activities and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
