Job summary

Kroger in Michigan is seeking an Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk to efficiently select and assemble customers’ online orders with a focus on freshness and quality. You will process coupons, payments, and load orders into customers' cars during pickup.

You will maintain high standards of customer service, follow bagging and food-safety guidelines, communicate substitutions, and work as part of a fast-paced e-commerce team to ensure accurate orders and timely pickups.

Qualifications

• Ability to work without supervision.
• Ability to read shelf tags.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Select and gather products for customers' online orders with accuracy and freshness.
• Initiate and complete the selection process for online orders.
• Assemble orders, process coupons and payment, and load orders into customers' cars at pickup.
• Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pick-up.
• Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness and cleanliness.
• Adhere to food safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Receive orders from Order Selector and store items in optimal temperature zones.
• Follow directions and ensure order accuracy for each customer.
• Process orders through the POS system.
• Follow substitutions policies when items are out of stock.
• Maintain organization of staging areas and equipment.
• Report discrepancies to the e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
• Manage conflict professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance as needed.
• Provide support for minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
