Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a part-time Personal Shopper at the Petoskey location to efficiently process online orders, pick items, and prepare orders for curbside or in-store pickup. The role emphasizes substitutions accuracy and careful handling of perishables with strong customer service.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, retail experience, solid communication and organization skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
• Detail oriented with knowledge of store layout for efficient picking.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Flexible schedule based on department needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the eCommerce process for receiving online orders and picking or delegating picking.
• Review customer comments to ensure product matches request; follow up on substitutions.
• Ensure quality control and handle perishables carefully during selection and packing.
• Scan orders and confirm totals for items priced by the pound.
• Follow proper procedures for storing orders at proper temperature.
• Report customer issues, shorts, overages, damages to store management immediately.
• Research and resolve customer complaints/problems in a timely manner.
• Provide focused and effective customer service.
• Follow PPE and Safety Guidelines; follow Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Travel requirements vary by assignment.
