Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring a front-end cashier at our Petoskey, MI location. You will operate the register, scan items, and assist customers with payments while maintaining a friendly service standard. Qualifications

• One year retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; interact politely with customers.

• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize purchases and total transactions.
• Process payments (cash, checks, cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty, coupons) accurately.
• Weigh and bag customer purchases; communicate store programs and promotions.
• Maintain cleanliness and stocking in the check-stand area; follow safety and sanitation procedures.
