About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing digital hospitality platform, is seeking a proactive and engaging Online Community Manager to join their remote team. Based from anywhere in South Africa, you will be responsible for building, nurturing, and managing our online communities across various social media platforms and forums. Your primary goal will be to foster a positive and interactive environment, drive engagement, and act as a brand advocate. This fully remote role offers the flexibility to work from home while making a significant impact on our brand's online presence and guest relations. We are looking for a social media savvy individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.


• Manage and moderate online community forums, groups, and social media channels.


• Create engaging content, including posts, graphics, and videos, tailored for each platform.


• Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.


• Monitor online conversations and identify opportunities for engagement and brand advocacy.


• Analyze social media metrics and report on community growth, engagement, and sentiment.


• Liaise with marketing and customer support teams to ensure a consistent brand voice and messaging.


• Identify and engage with key influencers and brand advocates within the community.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, Community Manager, or similar role, preferably in the hospitality or travel industry.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for creative content creation.


• Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms.


• Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.


• Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.


• A passion for the hospitality industry and understanding of online guest behavior.


• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is advantageous.
