Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree not required; a high school diploma plus college credits accepted.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to de-escalate challenging situations with young students.
• Wamiliarity with early elementary classroom supports and CPI training or willingness to obtain it.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to a student with special needs.
• Assist with academic tasks, social interactions, and daily activities.
• Implement and support IEPs and adapt teaching methods as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to create a supportive learning environment.
• Maintain records of progress and communicate with the educational team.
