Job summary

The Flint Cultural Center Academy in Michigan is seeking an Instructional Interventionist paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year. You will assist Certified staff and ancillary personnel in instructional, behavioral, and health-related activities in the assigned area, possibly as a one-on-one aide or within a classroom setting.

Qualifications

• 60 college credit hours or an associate degree or passing a state-approved basic skills test.
• Provide a list of work and personal references.
• Must successfully complete a LiveScan Criminal Records Check.
• Oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists certified and ancillary staff in instructional and related activities for students with and without disabilities.
• May participate in IEPT meetings when requested.
• Supports instruction based on student goals in IEPs.
• Reinforces and adapts curriculum under supervision.
• Contributes to behavior intervention plan meetings and data collection.
• Assists with de-escalation, behavior management, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Assists with meals, recreation, and activities, possibly off campus.
• Assists with health care and personal care needs of students.
• Supports arrival and dismissal procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by teachers or administrators.
