Job summary

Flint Community Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional for Learning Support Services to assist teachers and students with disabilities in both general and special education settings. The role supports academic and behavioral needs, escorts students during transitions, and reinforces classroom instruction.

You will help with materials, field trips, and behavior management while upholding confidentiality and promoting student engagement in an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 60 college credits or higher.
• An associate’s degree or higher is acceptable.
• ETS Paraprofessional Assessment passing score (460+).
• SAT scores (EBRW 480+, Math 530+) are acceptable substitutes.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities individually or in small groups under the teacher’s supervision.
• Escort and supervise students during transitions and activities.
• Reinforce instructions and adapt activities to student needs.
• Support with classroom materials and record-keeping; maintain confidentiality.
