Job summary

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is seeking a Regular Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse, ONC (RN) to join the UPMC Passavant Medical Oncology office in McCandless/Pittsburgh, PA. The role offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus and a daylight schedule, working as a Triage nurse assisting with infusion/treatment as needed.

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse responsible for the provision of nursing care, leadership, and collaboration with the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse with current license.
• Oncology/infusion experience preferred.
• Daylight schedule Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in department quality improvement efforts and supports patient safety and satisfaction.
• Demonstrates accountability for professional development and teamwork within the care delivery team.
• Maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and health care providers to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Provides patient and family teaching and supports transitions of care within the episode of care.
• Applies the nursing process to develop a plan of care and communicates effectively with the care team.
