Job summary

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is seeking a Regular Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse, ONC (RN) for the McCandless/Pittsburgh, PA area. The position offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus and a daylight schedule Monday through Friday as a Treatment/Infusion nurse.

The RN assumes leadership in the care delivery team, providing nursing care with independence, collaboration with physicians and colleagues, and a focus on outcomes across the continuum of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of RN experience required.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• IV skills preferred.
• Current RN licensure in PA, OH, or NY with CPR certification per AHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in quality improvement and improves patient satisfaction.
• Maintains professional relationships with physicians, other providers, patients and families.
• Demonstrates accountability for professional development and practice improvement.
• Provides teaching to patients and families during episodes of care and care transitions.
• Documents patient care comprehensively to support communication among caregivers.
