Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification and BLS certification required.
• Strong computer and interpersonal communication skills; ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vitals and noting chief complaints; report changes to the clinician.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures; perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and PPE as needed.
• Coordinate care including pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling; communicate test results.
• Provide clerical support and ensure complete medical records and billing information.
• Maintain a clean environment; disinfect equipment and follow OSHA guidelines.
• Order supplies and manage medication recalls as directed.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and colleagues; demonstrate service orientation.
• Complete onboarding and simulation training as required.
• Work under supervision and prioritize data from multiple sources for patient care.
