Qualifications

• Completion of a medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant certification required (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by taking vital signs and recording symptoms.
• Assists providers with exams and minor procedures in-office.
• Coordinates and manages patient care including scheduling and referrals.
• Provides clerical support and maintains medical records and billing information.
• Maintains clean exam rooms and sterilizes equipment following OSHA guidelines.
• Orders supplies and assists with medication-related tasks.
• Develops communication with patients and families to support care.
• Completes onboarding/orientation and sim-train as directed.
• Interacts with staff and external contacts to support patient health.
