Job summary

Hematology Oncology Associates of the Palm Beaches is seeking a coordinated scheduling assistant to manage all treatment-related appointments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, injections, labs and follow-up visits. You will collaborate with oncologists, nurses and staff to ensure accurate and timely treatment planning.

You will verify prior authorizations, update and maintain the EMR with current appointment and treatment information, and communicate with patients to confirm instructions

Qualifications

• Coordinate and schedule all treatment-related appointments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, injections, lab work, and follow-up visits.
• Work closely with oncologists, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure accurate and timely treatment planning.
• Communicate with patients to confirm appointments, provide instructions, and address questions or concerns.
• Update EMR with current appointment and treatment information.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism per HIPAA and practice policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor provider schedules and infusion chair availability to avoid scheduling conflicts or delays.
• Verify prior authorizations for treatment when required; collaborate with insurance coordinators as needed.
• Assist in the coordination of referrals, imaging, or outside consults as directed.
• Respond to patient calls and messages in a timely and professional manner.
