Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks a Registered Nurse to join an interdisciplinary care team providing patient‑centered care. The role focuses on nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within the transplant and oncology settings.

The position requires an active RN license in WA or MSL, BLS certification, and strong clinical judgment. Onsite work with opportunities for professional growth and collaboration are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license or current NLC multistate license (MSL).
• Current BLS AHA Health Provider Card (or equivalent) renewed every two years.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; two years of nursing experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assesses physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and evaluates patients’ adaptation to health changes.
• Develops a plan of care based on patients’ disease, symptoms, and response to treatment.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers on disease processes, treatment, side effects and symptom management.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Implements, evaluates and modifies plan of care.
• Maintains documentation of assessments and plans in patient records.
