Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks a Clinical Research Nurse to support oncology research patients at Fred Hutch & the University of Washington. The role emphasizes nursing expertise, protocol compliance, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will document protocol details in the EHR, assist with adverse event assessments, and coordinate education for patients and families. WA RN license and BLS are required, with 3+ years in oncology and clinical research preferred.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree required.
• Current WA RN license or MSL; upgrade to WA residency within 60 days.
• Current BLS certification with renewal every 2 years.
• Minimum 3 years of oncology experience.
• Experience in care of oncology patients and with clinical research preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with Office apps (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Maintains balance between research participant care, protocol requirements and compliance.
• Provides nursing and clinical operations expertise to the research team.
• Documents in EHR and supports data entry for protocol.
• Pre-screens patients and confirms eligibility with investigators.
• Assists with adverse event assessments and SAE reporting as required by protocol.
