Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA seeks a Registered Nurse to join an interdisciplinary care team. The RN will perform assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, with emphasis on evidence-based practice and research integration.

The role involves care coordination, patient education, and collaboration across disciplines, with opportunities to support transplant and oncology services. WA RN license and BLS required; oncology training provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold Washington State RN license or multi-state license (MSL) with WA as home state.
• Oncology experience is a plus or will receive training.
• Current BLS Health Provider certification with renewal every two years.
• Strong clinical judgment, time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and plan care.
• Develop and implement care plans based on disease, symptoms and treatment response.
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatments, side effects and symptom management.
• Coordinate with the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide nursing care documentation and maintain patient Kardex.
• Engage in care coordination, patient education, and discharge teaching.
