Job summary

Required: CT RN license and Associate degree in Nursing; Oncology IV therapy knowledge is preferred, with certification in Oncology Chemotherapy and BLS.

Qualifications

• CT RN license required.
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Oncology Chemotherapy and Biological Therapy Certification within 90 days of start date; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides parenteral therapy to adults in outpatient infusion center.
• Adheres to nursing standards of practice including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Administers medications/IV solutions per policy and consults resources as needed.
• Educates patients and families; assesses learning needs and provides instruction.
