Job summary

Hartford HealthCare in New Britain, CT is seeking an RN for Oncology Infusion to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care in an outpatient infusion setting.

You will perform patient assessments, administer chemotherapy/biotherapy and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.

BSN strongly preferred; CT RN license and OCN Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card (or within first month) required or preferred; part-time daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• BSN strongly preferred.
• Two years oncology nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN License.
• Current OCN Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card (or within first month of hire).

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and provide symptom management.
• Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy, infusions, injections, and transfusions safely.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Schedule patients for infusion visits with provider offices.
• Triage patients for toxicities and symptom management.
• Manage a caseload of patients receiving infusion and oral therapies.
• Communicate effectively with various audiences to achieve desired outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development and safety behaviors.

Requirements

Education

• BSN strongly preferred

Experience
