Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient Infusion Centers in Connecticut. You will provide holistic nursing care to patients and families undergoing cancer treatment, with a focus on symptom management and education.

The role emphasizes safe administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and coordination with providers to schedule infusion visits.

Qualifications

• Connecticut RN license required.
• OCN chemotherapy/biotherapy card (or within first month) required.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• Two years oncology nursing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and symptom management; educate patients and families.
• Safe administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy, infusions, injections, and transfusions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care across treatment stages.
• Schedule infusion visits with provider offices.
• Triage patients for toxicities and referrals within RN scope.
• Manage a caseload of infusion and oral therapies in outpatient settings.
