Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join the Onco-Primary Care Program within the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The APP will deliver outpatient survivorship and primary care for adult cancer survivors, collaborating with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and care teams to coordinate longitudinal care. Responsibilities include evaluating and managing chronic conditions, ordering tests, educating patients and families, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Primary Care with the ability to independently manage patients with complex medical histories including cancer survivorship and chronic conditions.
• Master's degree in PA program OR Master's in nursing with accredited APP education.
• Certification by NCCPA and Texas PA licensure OR APRN licensure with prescriptive authority.
• ACLS certification per UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations appropriate to age and diagnosis.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans with appropriate diagnostic testing.
• Demonstrate proficiency in required procedures and clinical skills.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families about survivorship and preventive care.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement or clinical research.
• Collaborate on research protocols and apply best practices to patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
