Job summary

Brown University Health seeks an experienced Technician Specialist, Oncology and Sterile Compounding to support sterile and non-sterile compounding, primarily oncology, in accordance with USP 797/800, NIOSH, and Rhode Island/Education guidelines. You will collaborate with oncology pharmacists and technicians to ensure accurate documentation, inventory, storage, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Completion of 1–2 years of college preferred.
• Maintains RI Pharmacy Technician II licensure.
• Maintains National Certification (CPhT).
• Must obtain IV/Oncology credentialing within 2 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterile compounding per USP 797/800 and NIOSH guidelines.
• Perform non-sterile compounding per USP 795 and internal policies.
• Document compounded medications accurately.
• Manage inventory, verify storage and temperature controls.
• Collaborate with oncology team to ensure segregation of hazardous meds.
