Job summary

Brown University Health seeks an Oncology and Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Specialist to perform sterile and non-sterile compounding, primarily oncology, in compliance with USP guidelines and Rhode Island regulations.

Under supervision of an Oncology Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician Supervisor, you will maintain documentation, manage inventory, assist with training, and support quality and safety programs across oncology services.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
• Maintains Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician II licensure.
• Maintains National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).

Responsibilities

• Sterile compounding of medications (oncology focus) per USP 797/800 and NIOSH.
• Non-sterile compounding per USP 795 and Brown policies.
• Complete accurate documentation and recordkeeping for compounded meds.
• Operate and calibrate ancillary compounding equipment; ensure proper storage and handling.
