Job summary

Rhode Island Hospital seeks a Technician Specialist in Oncology and Sterile Compounding. You will perform sterile and non-sterile compounding, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with the oncology team on medication procurement and storage.

This role requires 3+ years as a pharmacy technician, Rhode Island licensure, and CPhT, with IV/oncology credentialing within 2 months of hire. Day shifts, with weekend rotation, based in Providence, RI.

Qualifications

• Must have unrestricted Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician II licensure and CPhT.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a pharmacy technician with oncology/sterile compounding.
• Must obtain IV and oncology credentialing within 2 months of hire and maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sterile compounding complies with USP 797/800 and NIOSH and Brown policies.
• Perform non-sterile compounding per USP 795/800 and Brown procedures.
• Document finished medications accurately and manage compounding records.
• Coordinate with oncology and purchasing teams for inventory and storage.
• Assist with training of technicians and interns; support other technician duties.
