Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Technician Specialist, Oncology and Sterile Compounding, to perform sterile and non-sterile compounding supporting oncology and infusion medications. You will work under supervision of an Oncology Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician Supervisor, ensuring regulatory compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
• Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician II licensure (unrestricted).
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is required or must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the sterile compounding environment and all equipment are cleaned and maintained under aseptic conditions.
• Performs sterile compounding in accordance with USP 797/800 and Brown policies.
• Performs non-sterile compounding in compliance with USP 795/800 and related policies.
• Documents compounded medications accurately per policy and procedures.
• Collaborates with oncology team to procure medications and manage inventory.
