Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate; 1–2 years of college preferred.
• Must hold Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician II licensure and National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
• Two to three years of related experience as a pharmacy technician; oncology/sterile compounding preferred.
• Must obtain Oncology and Sterile Compounding credentialing within 2 months of hire.
• Strong interpersonal and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technicians and interns.
• Maintain clean room environment; ensure sterility and regulatory compliance.
• Support pharmacist on duty and ensure drug inventory security.
• Assist with record keeping and quality improvement initiatives.
• Orient, train, and coordinate the work of technicians.
• Develop tools and in-service trainings to improve competency.
• Communicate policy updates and procedures to the team.
• Participate in continuous quality assurance and safety initiatives.
