Job summary

WellSpan Health in York, PA seeks an Oncology Scheduling Coordinator to manage the treatment scheduling process and day-to-day cancer care schedules, ensuring efficient resource use and adherence to policies for timely patient access.

You will support a multidisciplinary team, coordinate outpatient procedures, verify authorizations, and maintain high-quality service for patients, staff, physicians, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in scheduling or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to learn and use scheduling software (EPIC/Lawson).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate oncology treatment schedules and day-to-day scheduling activities.
• Support multidisciplinary team to improve scheduling efficiency.
• Verify authorizations prior to scheduling outpatient procedures.
• Create oncology schedules to optimize physician and treatment utilization.
• Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts; communicate with care teams as needed.
• Maintain oncology documentation, inventory, and supply nomenclature.
• Deliver high-quality service to patients, staff, physicians, and visitors.
• Make, reschedule, and cancel appointments to optimize patient access.
• Provide workload feedback and scheduling refinements to management.
