Job summary

The Cancer Center Scheduling Specialist at St. Charles Health System is responsible for scheduling appointments for medical oncology, radiation oncology, infusion procedures, office visits, referrals, and diagnostic exams.

You will pre-register patients, collect demographics and insurance information, collect co-pays, deposits, and maintain accurate charge entries in the EMR system while delivering excellent customer service in a busy oncology setting in Bend, Oregon.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in customer service.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Experience in scheduling and registration preferred.
• Oncology/medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules inpatient/outpatient procedures and appointments as ordered by the patient’s physician or designee.
• Schedules multiple appointment types including: new patient visits, infusion/chemotherapy, radiation therapy, medical oncology, referrals, imaging studies, transfusions and other procedures.
• Pre-registers the patient in the registration system and collects demographics, insurance information and co-pays.
• Process payments and maintain accurate charge entry and deposits.
• Maintain excellent customer service with patients and staff in a high-volume environment.
