Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Terminology course or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of six (6) months in a medical or healthcare setting required.
• Proficiency with computer systems and EHR scheduling software required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and update oncology and infusion appointments, ensuring accuracy of provider availability and patient preparation needs.
• Coordinate with physicians, nursing teams, and diagnostic departments to arrange labs, imaging, and follow-up care.
• Maintain and monitor daily schedules for clinic and infusion areas, addressing add-ons, cancellations, and urgent scheduling needs promptly.
• Communicate courteously with patients, providing reminders and relaying scheduling changes to staff.
• Enter and maintain complete patient and appointment information in the EHR and related systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support administrative functions such as filing, document preparation, mail handling, and onboarding tasks.
