Job summary

Trinity Health Medical Group is seeking a Patient Visit Specialist I - Oncology to provide high-level support for Cancer Center patients. You will coordinate visit registrations, verify insurance, schedule procedures, and guide patients through the day’s itinerary with a warm hand-off to staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating check-in/check-out, handling inquiries about services and payments, and ensuring accurate registration and billing records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; coursework in insurance/billing preferred.
• Two years of experience in a medical or physician office or similar healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical billing practices.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and gathers information to complete registration and insurance verification.
• Verifies insurance coverage using real-time eligibility tools for scheduled services.
• Schedules and coordinates surgery and referrals for oncology patients.
• Manages registrations and billing using multiple systems (RTLS, WebXchange, Momentum, IHA tools).
• Assists patients with questions about scheduling, insurance, and payments.
