Job summary

Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Specialist to drive growth in a field-based, nationwide role. You will engage customers, educate stakeholders about our oncology products, and work with cross-functional teams to exceed sales goals within your territory.

You will collaborate with care teams to understand structures, pathways, and patient needs, applying data-driven insights to optimize opportunities across channels and markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of sales experience or equivalent, healthcare experience preferred.
• 2+ years oncology field-based sales experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 25% (+).
• Residence in or near the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed the territory sales goals and drive growth.
• Engage with customers, uncover needs, and build trusted relationships.
• Educate stakeholders on oncology products and communicate value.
• Understand care teams, cancer pathways, and treatment options.
• Analyze market trends and purchasing patterns across channels.
• Collaborate with local team and Oncology Customer Team Leader on plans.
