Illinois Cancer Specialists is seeking a Registered Nurse in Elgin, IL for a full-time role. You will provide professional nursing care following national and company standards, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to assess and manage patient/family needs within oncology care.

This role emphasizes adherence to compliance programs and ongoing professional development. The position requires 3–5 years of nursing experience with at least one year in oncology preferred, RN license in

Qualifications

• Education/Training – Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, RN license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. BLS certification. Continuing education requirements.
• Business Experience – 3–5 years nursing experience including at least one year in oncology preferred. Specialized Knowledge/Skills – Oncology certification preferred.
• Participates in professional development activities and maintains current knowledge of oncology nursing.

Responsabilités

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
• Assess health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history.
• Collects and records nursing assessment and interventions.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and accurate documentation of care and treatments.
• Administers therapies under physician direction and supervision; manages medications and IV therapies as needed.
• Facilitates and schedules consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments.
