Job summary

Illinois Cancer Specialists is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time roles in Chicago, IL. The position supports professional nursing care aligned with national and company standards within an oncology setting.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, assess patient needs, administer therapies, and maintain meticulous documentation. A BSN is preferred, with 3-5 years nursing experience including oncology. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• BSN preferred.
• 3-5 years nursing experience including at least one year in oncology preferred.
• Oncology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care.
• Assess health status through patient interviews and medical history.
• Record nursing assessments and interventions.
• Report health status results and relevant data to the provider.
• Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Administer therapies under physician supervision.
• Administer medications and manage blood products.
• Ensure proper pre-authorization and consent forms where applicable.
• Adjust dosages by coordinating with team and physician.
