Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida is seeking a professional Registered Nurse to join our Medical Oncology PCU, Bone Marrow Transplant PCU and Surgical Oncology PCU teams. You’ll perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans and administer treatments in a fast-paced oncology environment.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), RN license, BLS, and a minimum of 1 year acute care experience.

Qualifications

Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written)
Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes
EKG competency

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors
Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as necessary
Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care
Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care
Maintain accurate documentation of care activities and outcomes
