Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for a per diem daytime schedule. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, creating individualized care plans, administering treatments, and collaborating with the care team to ensure safety and quality.

A strong emphasis is placed on patient education and timely documentation. Required RN licensure in Florida and BLS certification, with an associate's degree in nursing as a minimum and a bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required (Florida)
• BLS certification required
• English fluency (read, write, speak)
• Associate's in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred
• Experience in an acute care hospital valued

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and monitor outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure safe, effective care and timely documentation.
• Respond to code situations and ensure patient stabilization.
• Engage in continuous professional development and performance improvement.
