Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. seeks an RN for Acute Care in the Surgical Oncology Stepdown Unit 9LP at Orlando Regional Medical Center. You will provide nursing care for acute conditions, coordinate care, and support patients and families in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Ideal candidates have Florida RN licensure, BLS, and unit-specific certifications as required, with 1 year of acute care experience and willingness to work night shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
• Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC required for certain areas; NRP for NICU.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for Hospital Care at Home duties.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and develops an individualized plan of care.
• Respects diversity and collaborates with team members.
• Acts as patient and family advocate.
• Provides age-appropriate nursing care on assigned unit.
• Functions as preceptor, charge nurse, educator, or clinician when needed.
• Communicates with medical staff to plan and manage care.
• Delivers patient care with a compassionate, evidence-based approach.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient care and treatments.
