Job summary

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care within an interdisciplinary team.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and support patient recovery in a fast-paced hospital setting. Eligible candidates hold a BSN and TX RN licensure with CPR/BLS. Relocation assistance is offered for eligible hires.

Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited program.
• Active TX RN license.
• 1 year RN experience.
• BLS/CPR certification within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and provide holistic nursing care, notifying physicians of significant changes.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans with patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Prepare patients for procedures and administer medications per physician orders while following safety protocols.
• Reassess patient responses and adjust care as needs change; communicate with physicians for modifications.
• Utilize bedside shift reports and provide thorough patient updates; delegate tasks for smooth care transitions.
• Maintain a safe environment and participate in quality and satisfaction initiatives.
