Job summary

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across an interdisciplinary team. You will assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and support safety and effective care transitions in a fast-paced environment.

Relocation assistance of up to $10,000 is offered to eligible new hires. This role requires RN licensure in Texas and a BSN with CPR/BLS certification. On-site work at Baylor St.

Qualifications

• BSN required for RN position.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience upon hire.
• TX RN license upon hire.
• CPR certification (BLS) within 14 days of hire.
• Competence in RN I performance expectations or meet experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive patient assessments and notifies physicians of significant changes.
• Develops, directs, and evaluates individualized care plans with patient/family education and discharge planning.
• Prepares patients for procedures, implements physician orders, and follows safety protocols including medication administration.
• Regularly reassesses patient responses and adjusts care as needed; communicates with physicians for modifications.
• Utilizes bedside shift reports and provides thorough patient updates; delegates tasks for seamless care transitions.
• Maintains a safe environment and participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
