Job summary

The RN Clinical Nurse on the Oncology Unit at Wellstar Cobb Hospital provides high-quality, patient-centered oncology care within a twenty-eight-bed unit serving adults, including hospice needs. Working days are 7am–7pm, with a proactive interdisciplinary team and shared governance support to uphold Wellstar's standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing or graduate from approved nursing program.
• RN license (single-state or multi-state) required upon hire.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, evaluation) for individualized care.
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care reflecting cultural diversity.
• Coordinate care and documentation with the care team; support patient and family goals.
• Promote evidence-based practice and participate in performance improvement and shared governance.
