Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center seeks a Registered Nurse for an on-site, Monday–Friday role at the South Lake Union location. You will perform nursing assessment, plan and implement care, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team focusing on patient-centered oncology care.

The position requires a WA RN license (MSL possible) and BLS. Oncologic chemotherapy experience is preferred; training is available for oncology-specific skills and certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN license or MSL with WA residency within 60 days.
• BLS provider card (renewal every 2 years) required.
• ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card within 3 months of hire.
• Oncology experience preferred but training provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs and plan care.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments and side effects.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Administer IV hydration, chemotherapy/biotherapy and blood products.
• Integrate research and evidence-based practice into care.
