Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Dedicated Oncology Unit to provide compassionate, specialized cancer care on a 36-hour-per-week schedule. The role supports chemotherapy, hospice, radiation, stem cell transplant/CAR-T and related therapies, with day or night shifts and every-other-weekend rotation.

New graduates are welcome; Sentara offers a Nurse Residency and Transition to Practice programs to support a smooth professional

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing required.
• BSN/MSN preferred.
• New graduates welcome to apply.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• ONS/ONCC or Sentara chemotherapy/biotherapy card within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate oncology care on an inpatient unit.
• Administer chemotherapy and other treatments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams.
• Monitor patient conditions and manage symptoms.

Education

RN degree or diploma

BSN or MSN preferred

Students completing accredited nursing program encouraged
