Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Day Shift Registered Nurse for the Oncology 6 RP Unit. This 36-bed unit delivers chemotherapy, supportive care and advanced cancer treatments with a focus on patient safety and comfort.

The role requires RN licensure, an RN degree, BLS within 90 days, and oncology certification within 6 months. New graduates are welcome; sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license is required.
• RN degree or diploma in nursing required.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• ONS/ONCC or Sentara Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months.
• New graduates welcome to apply.
• No prior RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care for oncology patients on the 6 RP IMC unit; monitor conditions and administer medications.
• Deliver chemotherapy and related treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families throughout treatment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safety and quality care.
