Job summary

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for Medical Oncology on a 16-bed unit offering chemotherapy/biotherapy administration and comprehensive cancer care. You will participate in pre/post-surgical and palliative care, with a focus on patient education and family support.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or compact multi-state in good standing
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• Oncology nursing interest and capacity to work nights

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy with certification after 6 months of hire
• Provide pre/post-surgical care, hospice and palliative care support
• Manage Sickle Cell care and other hematology oncology needs
• Support new graduate nurses through a nurse residency program when applicable
