Job summary

City of Hope seeks an experienced Clinical Nurse III for the 8-bed Evaluation and Treatment Center in Irvine. You will deliver urgent oncology assessment and intervention, triage, and stabilization for acutely ill patients within a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based care, documentation accuracy, and collaboration with physicians, inpatient, outpatient, and palliative teams, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring safety and patient dignity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• 3–5 years in urgent care or emergency room.
• Current CA Registered Nurse License.
• Current BLS through American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS through American Heart Association.
• ONS certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for patient care.
• Assess conditions, recognize complications, escalate when needed.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, manage central lines.
• Documentation and clinical information system proficiency.
• Mentor and guide new staff.
• Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel.
• Uphold City of Hope nursing model and standards.
